I was so grateful to have him all the way through our project, from coming up with a design that would never have occurred to us on our own, his persistence at negotiating planning and listed buildings permission, and in helping with advice on the decoration and suppliers for materials. "This review relates to a complicated residential listed building project which involved listed building consent for repair works as well as planning for conversion of the upper floors of the building to residential use, whilst retaining its commercial use at ground floor.The planning and design process went much much more quickly than I had expected. We achieved full planning consent and listed building consent in around 10 weeks, which is a testament to Matt's expertise in dealing the local planning authority given the complex issues involved.As importantly, during the design process Matt helped with the feasibility of the project by identifying areas where we could either save cost, reduce risk or save on programme. I would say that as a result he has delivered cost savings which are in excess than his (already reasonable) fees.We will be using Noades architects again, and we have no hesitation recommending his services."
