Project Details
After investigating several options for extending and refurbishing an existing bungalow, the decision was taken to demolish the existing and build a new, energy efficient five bedroom house.
After several applications to extend the existing house were made and approved, Planning Permission was finally obtained for the new build house.
The new house is in a tucked away corner of Chorleywood, screened from the road by tall hedges. By adjusting the level of the slightly sloping site the new house is no taller than the original bungalow, despite its grand scale.
A series of full height spaces split the floorplan, bringing light into the heart of the house and linking the two floors.
