Amersham Bungalow Remodeling

Noades Architects designed this modern roof extension and remodeling of a 1960s bungalow.

Two new bedrooms were created in the extended roof space and the existing ground floor was opened up to give a modern kitchen/living/dining area with a bi-folding door opening to the garden. Raising the dining area ceiling has allowed a open stair and gallery to formed.

The new house benefits from improved insulation, and a HVHR ventilation system. Heating is via an air source heat pump and the combination of these factors results in very modest energy usage.
